Inniebosch

Mixed Feelings

I visited this restaurant in 2013 for the first time, and was extremely impressed by the food and service. I ordered a "Surf and Turf" main which was a sirloin steak topped with Calamari and feta, served with fried potato mash, (yum)! R130.00

Since then I've been there twice, both times ordering their monster of a burger. The burger comes highly recommended by themselves and by me. Good value for such a large meal. Just under R90.00 Bacon, Cheddar, Mushroom, caramelized onions and homemade patties.

Their menu is interesting and often changes. The restaurant itself has a South African vibe and cozy atmosphere. In summer they have live music in the courtyard on Saturdays and Sundays. The wine menu is short but good, (an expensive collection though). For example Ernie Els and Beau Belle.

However, our feelings are mixed about Inniebosch. We decided to wow some friends by taking them here, both of them vegetarian, we waited almost an hour for our food and when it arrived it was under-cooked and cold. The vegetarian dishes were also dull and unimaginative. Needless to say, we won't be taking any vegetarians here again. We would still go back, but not with the same expectations as last. We hesitate to recommend this restaurant, but hope that they pull up their socks and live up to their potential.
